Carne Molida (Ground Meat Puerto Rican Style)


Yields: about 2 pounds


1 chopped onion
1 cup sofrito
3 tablespoons chopped garlic
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup tomato sauce
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 pounds ground beef
2 tablespoons dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste

In a sauté pan, cook onion, sofrito and garlic with olive oil for 1-2 minutes until all ingredients are combined. Add remaining ingredients and cook on medium high heat for 15-20 until meat is cooked.
