Since 1997, she has being producing, writing , editing and covering culinary, travel and social events for a number of magazines and newspapers and blogs. Caras magazine (Televisa publishing) gave her the first chance to be part of the magazine. Following came, Vea, Buena Vida, Cooking Light, Nuevo Dia and San Juan Star newspaper and, Univision, Telemundo Network and WIPR (PBS station) among many others.

​One of her most memorable stories was interviewing renown chef Emeril Lagasse for Buena Vida magazine on his last visit to Puerto Rico.

Chef Maira Isabel offers a number of culinary instruction options. From "one-on-one" classes to culinary demos, to hands-on, it it’s all possible. Some of our previous classes include: corporate and team building events, birthdays -both for adults and children-, trainings,  bachelor and bachelorette parties and all in between.


With over 18 years teaching, her  experience is vast and the range of our classes is unlimited. What would you like to learn? It’s really up to your heart’s desire. . Instruction is available for beginners to professionals. From Mexican, to Thailand, Indian, Franch, Caribbean and beyond, Chef Maira Isabel has and can teach them all. We will make you and your guests fall in love even more with the culinary world!
